Sessions take place on Monday (2-3pm) and Friday (9.30-10.30am) on the Downs (Sea Walls).

Initial 1:1 session: £30 (New walkers)
Weekly Group Sessions: £10 per session

Join us for our friendly, small group weekly sessions. Make a Change: Walking For Fitness is suitable for those who would like to improve fitness and wellbeing through a tailored and supportive exercise programme.

How can Make a Change help you?

  • Supportive teaching to improve cardiovascular fitness and wellbeing

  • Flat walking with benches for rest if needed
  • Each session has a maximum of 12 walkers and is led by two INWA Nordic4 Instructors Katie and Liz, ensuring we can tailor to your individual needs.
  • Walking sessions all year round.

Sessions are suitable for those who would like to improve fitness and wellbeing through a tailored and supportive exercise programme.

New Walkers:
Please give Katie a call before making a booking, on 07970 741320 to see how we can tailor these sessions to you and help you or a family member enjoy and benefit from our weekly sessions. Complete your booking by selecting “Initial 1:1 Session” in the dropdown and please ensure all new participants have completed the Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire before sessions begin.

Weekly Group Sessions:
Please select “Weekly Group Sessions” in the dropdown and select a date in the calendar to start your booking. If you would like to book onto more than one session, please add each session to the basket individually.

In addition to the group sessions, you are welcome to book onto our Seasonal Walks, taking place throughout the year.

Description

New Walkers
We recommend an initial 1:1 Session with Katie to learn the foundation steps of INWA Nordic walking, with teaching tailored to your needs. This will enable us to ensure you receive maximum benefit from the weekly group sessions. Please give Katie a call on 07970 741320 to arrange a booking.

Please ensure all new participants have completed the Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire before sessions begin.

(Please note all Nordic4 Instructors are trained in Outdoor First Aid)

What To Wear

Clothing

Please ensure you wear layers of clothing to keep warm. Long loose trousers, a shirt, a fleece or sweatshirt and then a lightweight cagoule/waterproof coat in the event of rain. These layers can then be removed or then added one layer at a time if needs be.

Footwear

Walking boots with a flexible sole and with a deep tread are best footwear.
