Nordic4 Joints Beginner Course


Nordic4 Joints Beginner Course is a walking programme for fitness and well-being tailored to your individual needs with an emphasis on Technique.

This Taster is ideal for the independent walker, who may find it difficult to walk for an hour due to being impacted by Osteoporosis or Arthritis.

Sessions are taught by Emma who, with 20 years medical experience as a GP, is able to understand your physical complaint and can adapt the Nordic Technique and walking time for you when necessary with rest stops available.

Please note we are able to provide walking poles for this Taster session. See our COVID Code of Conduct for hygiene information.

After booking, Emma will contact you to arrange your teaching session at a time and location to suit you. Please ensure all new participants have completed the Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire before sessions begin.

  • An hour Taster lesson to learn the INWA Nordic Walking Foundation steps.

  • Nordic Walking poles or ‘Adapted’ ( Moulded handle ) Nordic Walking poles are available for you to ensure you have poles that are tailored to your needs.

Location: Lessons by arrangement on the Downs (Sea Walls) on grass area between Ivywell and Circular Road (map) at a time convenient for you.
