Description
For all new walkers, we recommend an initial 1:1 session (1 hour) with Katie and Liz to talk through your PARQ form and introduce ourselves to you. This will enable us to chat through past and present medical history and assess your walking so that we can then introduce you to INWA Nordic walking, with teaching tailored to your needs. This session costs £45. Please ensure you have completed the Over 65’s Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire before sessions begin.
After the weekly walking session, walkers like to enjoy coffee together at Caffe Arabica in North View Westbury Park. (40 North View, Bristol BS6 7QA). Free and easy parking is nearby so do come and join us!
Important: In poor weather, walking sessions will be held indoors at the Newman Hall, Sacred Heart Church. (28 Grange Ct Rd, Bristol BS9 4DR). This means that you can continue to enjoy your Walk and Talk sessions whatever the weather!
Katie, will contact you by phone the night before to inform you.
(Please note all Nordic4 Instructors are trained in Outdoor First Aid)

What To Wear
Clothing
Please ensure you wear layers of clothing to keep warm. Long loose trousers, a shirt, a fleece or sweatshirt and then a lightweight cagoule/waterproof coat in the event of rain. These layers can then be removed or then added one layer at a time if needs be.
Footwear
Walking boots with a flexible sole and with a deep tread are best footwear.
Do ask Katie if you need any advice about the above.
