What To Wear

Please ensure you wear layers of clothing to keep warm. Long loose trousers, a shirt, a fleece or sweatshirt and then a lightweight cagoule/waterproof coat in the event of rain. These layers can then be removed or then added one layer at a time if needs be.

Walking boots or shoes with a flexible sole and with a deep tread are the best footwear.

Do ask Katie if you need any advice about the above.

  1. Anne ThistleThwaite

I so enjoyed the Downs History walk guided by Katie. It was a gentle walk, jam-packed with observations and landmarks, taking us from Roman times to the present day. It really opened my eyes to what’s around us, with appreciation for the amenities on our door-step.

  2. Jennie Droy

I learnt lots of interesting snippets about The Downs today, in good company plus some necessary exercise in the sunshine. Thank you Katie, a morning very well spent
