Katie Atkins, INWA Nordic Walking Instructor has 26 years teaching as a primary teacher with 12 years as a PE specialist (working with mainstream, gifted and talented and SEND pupils).
Rachael Wilson, INWA Nordic Walking Instructor has thirteen years’ experience supporting junior school children in specialisms including Occupational Therapy and Physical Education. She works closely with a number of physiotherapists to help pupils reach their potential.
Nordic4Kids walking courses for Children and Teens provide a chance to learn a new activity whilst having fun in the fresh air all year round. Suitable for all, nordic walking provides a break from technology works upper and lower body muscles, increases balance, coordination, core strength and fine and gross motor skills.

For Year 3 - Year 6
Available on or off your school site in curriculum time or as an After School Club. Sessions tailored to individual needs.
Suitable for all: Nordic4Kids teaches children to Nordic walk, run, skip and jump using all these skills in a fun and varied programme. It works upper and lower body muscles, increasing balance, co-ordination, core strength and helps develop fine and gross motor skills. The club engages pupils in their surroundings noticing the seasons and nature, making the most of being outside in the fresh air!

We would love to meet new schools to discuss sessions suited to your school and tailored to your children’s individual needs be it in assembly time, PE (OAA Programme) or After School.
For Year 7 - Year 13

Re energise with Nordic4Teens and explore The Downs, Blaise Castle Estate, Ashton Court, Leigh Woods and all their terrain, slopes and gullies. Make new friends, appreciate your surroundings and enjoy learning the technique of Nordic Walking whilst increasing your fitness too.
Nordic4Teens also provides fitness preparation, within the sessions for D of E (Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme). Learn to use the poles to aid your walking when carrying heavy backpacks on the flat, up and down hills.

Classes for children and for teens receiving Occupational Therapy (OT) or with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Class sizes for up to 8 children or teens with two instructors.

All lessons and classes are fully RA, Katie and fellow instructor have fully enhanced DBS and are qualified British Nordic Walking Instructors.
