We offer a range of adult walking courses which are tailored to individual needs. Walking poles are provided for all lessons and are available for a loan fee with a returnable deposit required.

Nordic4 Beginners
Learn to Nordic Walk 1:1 or with a friend(s)

Nordic4's Beginner Course is a walking programme for fitness and well-being tailored to your individual needs with an emphasis on Technique.

Price:

  • Nordic 1:1 - £30 1 hour
  • Walk with a friend - £25 1 hour
  • Nordic with Friends - £25 per person 1 hour

Location: Lessons by arrangement on The Downs, Blaise Castle Estate or at Ashton Court at a time convenient for you.

Nordic4’s Weekly Walking Fitness

A fun and enjoyable Nordic Walking fitness programme to get you fit and motivated whilst meeting others. Feel refreshed, positive and enlivened!

  • A walking programme designed around alternating periods of high- and low-intensity activity that uses the terrain of the Downs and slopes and hills of Leigh Woods, Blaise and Ashton Court to full effect.
  • Aerobic exercises using the poles to give a full upper and lower body workout.
  • Further embed your 10 step technique each week and reap the benefits of increased fitness.
  • Sessions are differentiated for you. Fitness Goals and Markers to show self improvement.
By using the poles you reduce the strain put through joints, thus targeting specific muscle groups as well as fitness. Definitely worth a try! Liz Lewis
Mon (9:30-10:30am) and Thurs (10:30-11:30am) sessions: Suitable for walkers who would like a "more challenging" Walking Fitness Programme.
Fri (9:30-10:30am) sessions: Suitable for walkers who would like to "start improving fitness" through a Walking Fitness Programme.

Seasonal Walks

Join us for our seasonal walks exploring the beautiful local areas of Bristol and further surrounding countryside. Catch up with others as we enjoy the changing seasons and all they offer. Open to all walkers these walks are all walked at a steady pace. Dates & Prices:
  • Monday / Saturday 10am - 12pm : A little further from Bristol Centre (2 hour walk) £15
  • Tuesday 2 - 3 pm : Bristol based walk (1 hour walk) £10

Nordic4’s Technique Top Up

For walkers who have completed a walking course with Nordic4 or who have experience of the INWA Nordic Walking 10 Step Technique.

‘Top up’ your technique with Katie. Have a Bespoke Session just for you or with your friend(s)
